Fishing

Known as the “Bass Capital of the West”, Clear Lake is the number one bass fishing destination in Northern California.  The lake’s 43,785 acres of water surface provides fishing season 365 days per year.  Each year more than 25 fishing tournaments take place on Clear Lake. Largemouth bass, crappie, catfish, bluegill, rainbow trout, and carp are among the catches from area lakes and reservoirs.

To fish in Clear Lake you must have a valid California fishing license (link to getting a California fishing license) and have to be 16 years of age or older.
